Belltech has officially released a 3/4 drop kit for the new Colorado and Canyon. Couple that with Bushwacker’s new pocket flares for those trucks, and I can’t wait to see a widebody street truck version of the new Colorado soon.

Let’s be honest, people are just trying to do the Carolina squat.

I can't wait to see it too. - Recovering former 3/4 drop S10 owner.

Hey! Teacher! Leave them trucks alone!

You can’t deny that a dropped widebody work truck Colorado with the manual, and LSD, wheels with a ludicrous offset, and a hydro e-brake would be properly awesome.

No. I miss my old one. I want a modern version.

Ohhh, yes I can!

As long as the tires don’t get shredded by the wheel wells ....

Depends how rough the road is! But a 3/4 drop on factory-diameter rubber isn’t too bad. The Coloranyons ride pretty high even in base trim.

Fair enough ....

Hmm stock springs even.

The hell is a 3/4 drop? 3 inches off the front and 4 inches off the back?

Wee ooh wee ooh fun police are here.

The problem there is the Anemic 2.5l. Now a 2.0T turbo swap from an ATS? That could be fun..

If you’re willing to give up rowing your own gears, you can get the Camaro’s V6.

Which means that theoretically, it should keep a good deal of the ride comfort.

I love it. Vaughn always puts out some awesome stuff. Here’s hoping for an RTR F-150 line coming soon.

It’s only for 2WD models.

Mine is a 2WD, manual. Perfect for a simple drop.

That’s not bad for $600. This was going to be the one vehicle that I wouldn’t modify. Frick.

You’d have to order wheel blanks and have them drilled, though. 6x120 with at most +18 offset is impossible to find in a good-looking pre-drilled street wheel.
![]() 05/28/2016 at 12:12 |
|
Wait, this wouldn’t work with the stock wheels? It doesn’t seem to me like a 3/4 drop would have interference with anything using the stock stuff. Or are you just saying the new wheels would be needed to push the wheels out for a widebody? (I’m not honestly sure what my factory offsets are on this truck, just that 6x120 is an impossible bolt pattern to find decent aftermarket wheels in.)

You’d probably want at least 18s if you drop it, so you can run lower profile tires, and bring down the gap. But it will work with stock wheels.

Strangely, the only picture that comes up in a google search is for a 4wd. I think I want to see more before forming an opinion. Frankly, compared to even the previous generation Colorado, my truck is huge for a 2wd. I wouldn’t mind pretending that the 3/4 drop was stock height, and stick with the factory wheels.
